PE xpo

Its with regret that the IPPEA will not be organising the Primary PExpo this spring 2023.

PExpo is a project-based competition which gives teachers and students an opportunity to showcase their school’s achievements in the area of delivering quality physical education.  The main aim is to promote PE as a subject in Ireland and to celebrate the success of primary schools in this area. It’s a great way to get pupils inspired about the vital aspects of physical education and teachers will see real, long-term benefits by getting involved.

The primary school PExpo theme is ‘What we have learned in Physical Education‘?   Traditionally PExpo day takes place in the Sports complex of Dublin City University. However, this year, we are moving to the online platform ‘Zoom’ 6th April 2022 via Zoom.  The class teacher and students submit a short project based on 150 minutes of PE as outlined in the Primary Teachers Booklet and will participate in a live zoom call with the judges. Children will also keep a Physical Education Diary to record their learning based on Head, Heart, and Hands (Knowledge learning, Emotional learning and Physical learning).

Prize: €100 voucher for the class teacher and €200 sports equipment voucher for the class for PE usage.  PExpo trophy for the winning school.  2nd and 3rd prize awards too!

It’s time to put your school on the map as a quality PE provider! Start your project now and register by 18th March  2022 for the exciting live event.
