IRISH PRIMARY PHYSICAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (IPPEA) POSITION STATEMENT ON PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS, DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
In reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic the IPPEA committee are currently preparing the IPPEA position statement to guide members and those responsible for delivering quality Physical Education in Irish primary schools. This is based on the European Physical Education Association Position Statement on Physical Education in Schools, During The Covid-19 Pandemic https://eupea.com/(June 2020) of which the Irish Primary Physical Education Association is a member. The IPPEA requests that school principals, Boards of Management and teachers actively assure quality Physical Education (UNESCO Charter, 2015) during the Covid-19 crisis, despite the challenges it may pose for the subject.

The IPPEA position statement and practical suggestions will follow shortly underpinned by Reopening our primary and special schools https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/a0bff-reopening-our-primary-and-special-schools/
