The Irish Primary Physical Education Association (IPPEA) 12th annual conference was held at The Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on Saturday February 28th 2015. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Thinking and Moving Outside the Box’. The conference provided teachers with an opportunity to experience and enjoy a variety of alternative activities which can contribute to a broad, balanced and active physical education programme.  Workshops offered included: Yoga, gymnastics on the grass, american spikeball, moving with apps, physical activity breaks, biking for schools, water play (aquatics) and golf for schools.  Notes on all of the workshops are available in the members section of the website.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended and supported the conference.Teachers from across Ireland came out in force for this fun filled day. Check out our photo story to give you a flavour of the activities and to see some of your colleagues in action. We look forward to seeing you all at our 2016 conference for more fun and games!
